SUMMARY:

 

The Preschool Instructional Aide will assist the teacher in maintaining appropriate classroom activities and environment in order that students may learn effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. High school diploma or GED required. 
  2. A transcript showing a minimum of sixty (60) completed college credits OR a passing ParaPro Assessment score dated within the past 10 years must be submitted with the application.
  3. Previous experience working with students preferred.
  4. Ability to work harmoniously with staff and students.
Knowledge of:
  1. District and Department policies and procedures;
  2. Pertinent local, state and federal laws, ordinances, codes, and rules.

 

Skill in:

  1. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Principal

 

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must obtain IVP fingerprint clearance within 10 days of start date.
  2. Must obtain TB test within 10 days of start date.

 

  

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

Work year, salary and benefits as established by the Board.

 

EVALUATION:

 

Performance of this job shall be evaluated by the building principal in accordance with

provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
