QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required.

Sixty (60) college credits or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment exam required.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment; including operation of educational computer programs.
- Ability to read, write and speak Spanish preferred.
- Ability to work harmoniously with students, staff, parents and community members.

JOB GOAL:
To assist administration in Positive Behavior Intervention Support and academic placement and interventions. Will assist counselors and administrators with parent communications. Will assist in administering assessments and reinforcing positive student behaviors in a well organized, smoothly functioning environment in which teachers and administrators can take full advantage of available resources.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carries out the recommendations of counselors and administrators in matters of attendance, discipline, academic placement, and interventions.
- Serves as a parent liaison regarding student business such as: attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
- Provides support by facilitating students to make positive behavior choices; PBIS re-teaching of skills during after school detention and/or in-school suspension
- Coordinates and monitors suspended-student work
- Types, sorts, copies, distributes, and processes assessment and disciplinary forms, resources and data.
- Maintains files of handbook assessment and disciplinary materials.
- Maintains current inventory of school spirit wear, student uniforms, and intervention materials and suggests items for acquisition as needed.
- Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.

Work year, salary and benefits as established by the Board.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position shall be evaluated by the Building Principal in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
