TITLE: School Nutrition Baker
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 6 months to l year previous experience in a commercial or institutional School Nutrition operation.
- Ability to obtain food handlers card.
- Ability to lift medium to heavy weights, bend, stoop, reach and climb.
- Shall have ability to work effectively and professionally with school personnel and students.
REPORTS TO:
Cafeteria Manager
SUPERVISES:
School Nutrition Assistants, School Nutrition Aides, and student workers
JOB GOAL:
To produce the highest possible quality of food for consumption by students and adults.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for daily preparation of baked goods and dessert items.
- Responsible for keeping assigned work areas and equipment clean and safe.
- Rotates to all areas of cafeteria work; serving line, ticket sales, washing tables, pots and pans, taking out the trash, cleaning equipment, and production areas.
- Other general duties assigned by the School Nutrition manager necessary in preparation or clean up.
- Assists in the training of School Nutrition Assistants.
- Maintains good public relations with school personnel and students.
- Understands and practices USDA accountability and general safety standards.
- Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.

Work year, salary and benefits as established by the Board.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job shall be evaluated by the Cafeteria Manager in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
