7 hours a day / 184 days a year
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Sixty (60) college credits or Para Pro exam required.
3. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
4. Ability to operate standard office equipment and computers required.
5. Experience handling confidential records preferred.
6. Ability to work harmoniously with staff and students.

JOB GOAL:
To provide supervision and guidance for students who are unable to be in the regular classroom due to discipline problems.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and monitor all the students in the CAPP program.
- Ensure that all students have, are able to and do complete all assigned work, as needed.
- Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
- Distributes and collects workbooks, papers and other materials for instruction, and returns completed work to appropriate teacher.
- Guides independent study, enrichment work and remedial work set up and assigned by the teacher.
- Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers.
- Takes attendance and lunch count on a daily basis.
- Keeps daily documentation on students' behavior and notifies teacher.
- Performs other related duties as required by the Principal.

EVALUATION:
Performance of this job shall be evaluated by the building principal in accordance with
provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel. |
