QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related degree is preferred, or combination of 2+ years of related experience and education.
  1. Strong organizational skills
  2. Strong facilitation skills
  3. Strong oral and written communication skills
  4. Spanish Proficiency preferred
  5. Ability to relate well to students and families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds

 

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal

 

JOB GOAL:

The project coordinator will organize and facilitate all components of the Positive Action Plan.

 

PERFORMANCE ABILITIES:

  1. Monitors implementation of Positive Action and assist both staff and administration.
  1. Conduct site analysis, analyze all gathered data and provide recommendations for continuous program improvement.
  1. Track measurable goals and objectives for programs as outlined in grant proposals
  1. Research, identify, analyze and implement needs of the programs through appropriate assessments.
  1. Organize and facilitate the individual components of Positive Action. These components include: teacher support, administration support, climate development activity support, community stakeholder engagement, data management and reporting (with the assistance of Positive Action consultation experts).
  1. Collaborates effectively with other professional disciplines in order to establish and implement a referral system of community resources as a support to the students and their families.
  1. Work closely with the Director, 21st Century Program to engage parents and the community volunteer board in implementing the school climate program.
  1. Organize family classes continuously throughout the year.
  1. Provides training/technical assistance to teachers and assistants working with students to implement Positive Action.
  1. All Crane employees are expected to maintain an extreme degree of confidentiality by following the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) for student information and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) for employee and student information.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Work year, salary and benefits as established by the Board.

  

EVALUATION:

Evaluation of this position will be performed by the building administrator or designee in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
